Fellowships

From 1991-2004 CEP operated three different fellowship programs in Eastern Europe and Eurasia. The fellowship programs in those regions have now ended. Those interested in similar fellowships in these regions should contact the Higher Education Support Program (HESP). In the coming year, CEP will begin offering similar fellowship programs in other world regions, modeled on the programs described below:

The Visiting Faculty Fellowship (VFF) Program offers the opportunity for academics holding an advanced degree in a social science, law, or journalism to teach and mentor for a year in one of the countries of the regions where we operate.

The Local Faculty Fellowship (LFF) Program provides financial support and an opportunity for professional development and networking to academics from the regions where we operate who have received an advanced degree at a Western-accredited university and wish to return to their home countries to teach.

Please note that CEP does not give grants for individual projects or study. Its fellowships only support the selected Fellows in a given year. CEP does occasionally post notices of scholarships offered by other organizations; please check CEP’s Newsflash… for postings.
